“Our company designs and produces mini fridges for home and car use and beer coolers which are exported mainly to Europe and the US. We participated at the Hong Kong Electronics Fair also organised by HKTDC before, but this is our first year at the Hong Kong Houseware Fair. We want to promote our new designs of mini fridges and beer coolers to houseware buyers and also to explore emerging markets such as Brazil and Russia. A US buyer has already placed US$160,000 worth of orders for our mini car fridges. In addition, we have had discussions with serious buyers from Brazil and Australia and owners from restaurant chains who have shown great interest in cooperating with us. We have decided to join next year’s fair.”
Jackson Ni, President, Shangyu North Electron Manufacture Co., Ltd, the Chinese mainland
“We have two factories in Czech Republic producing hand-made and machine-made glassware respectively. Currently, Egypt, Russia and South America are our biggest export markets. It is our first-time exhibition at this fair. Hong Kong is a great place for our expansion into the Asian market. Apart from meeting with existing customers, we have established many new contacts with buyers from all around the world including those from Brazil, Canada, the Chinese mainland, India, Japan, Malaysia, Morocco, Uruguay and the US. So far, we have received orders totalling US$150,000 and we are expecting more orders during and after the fair. It’s a good show. The organisation of the fair is perfect. Definitely, we’ll join this fair again next year.”
Jaroslav Kloc, Sales Manager, Crystalite Bohemia, Czech Republic
“Our company has 22 years’ of experience in producing outdoor and household products. As the pet supplies market has been growing rapidly, we started to leverage our manufacturing expertise for the production of pet supplies under our “Crazy Paws” brand six years ago. Our products are sold in Europe, Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan and the US. We are a long-term exhibitor since the launch of the World of Pet Supplies. Over the past few years, we have established good business relationships with the buyers whom we met at this fair. At this year’s fair, we have met with new buyers from Asia Pacific, Europe, South America and North America. So far, we have identified potential agents for the markets in Australia, Brazil, Canada and Norway. This year’s fair results are better than last year’s.”
Jimmy Hsu, Managing Director, Go Well Enterprise Co., Ltd., Taiwan

“Our group operates eight department stores in Thailand. We have been attending this fair for many years to look for new products for our houseware department. We like this show very much because it is a world-class event that brings so many houseware suppliers all under one roof and we establish useful business contacts every year. We have found interesting items such as artificial flowers, tableware, kitchen utensils, bathroom accessories and home decorations supplied by about 15 exhibitors from Australia, the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong and India. We’ll discuss with the suppliers about our packaging requirements after the fair, and we’ll place orders worth US$500,000 for these interesting items.”
Yoawaree Kittivoraphan, Senior Manager, Merchandising, The Mall Group Co., Ltd, Thailand
“We are a trading company that sources all kinds of goods and sell them to retailers in Canada. It is our second time visiting the World of Pet Supplies because there are many interesting and suitable items that we can source for our big customer who operates around 50 pet supplies stores in Quebec. All the suppliers we’ve found here work well. This year, we are particularly looking for beds and toys for cats and dogs as well as new items. We have found interesting products such as LED lights and solar lamps. We’ll communicate with potential suppliers through emails and place orders afterwards.”
Martin Filion, Project Assistant, Valencia, Canada
“We are an importer and wholesaler of kitchenware and tableware in Poland, supplying hypermarkets, retailers, restaurants, hotels and Internet shops in Europe and the US. We also sell products through our own Internet shop. Each year, we purchase US$2 million worth of kitchenware and tableware. It’s our fourth time visiting this fair because we can find new products, new designs and new suppliers here. As our export business is growing every year, we need more new suppliers. This year, we are particularly looking for cutlery and kitchen accessories. We have found very nice designs from three to four prospective suppliers. We are now waiting for their quotations and samples. If everything is good, we’ll confirm orders.”
Pawel Kulig, Brand Manager, Kulig Sp. z o.o., Poland

“Concentra is an importer of home textiles and other household products including furniture. This is our first-time visit to Hong Kong. It’s an amazing exhibition with so many products to choose from. We are keen to expand our sourcing in Asia. So far, we have found quite a few interesting items such as bed linens and towels for hotel use. Further discussions will be carried out with three potential suppliers including two Hong Kong companies and a third one from the Chinese mainland. Everything is so organised here and it is very easy to walk around the fairground. For sure, I will come again.”
Xavier Hori, Co-Director, Concentra Asesores, S.C., Mexico
“Based in Lipetsk, we operate a chain of 120 stores for the sale of houseware, home textiles and decorations in different cities across Russia. This is my first visit to the Hong Kong fair. I have found some products including home decorations, kitchen cloths, bed covers and mats. We will not place orders on the spot at the fair. Further talks will be underway with the potential suppliers from India, Turkey and the Chinese mainland.”

“This is our fourth-year participation in the fair which is a major place to strengthen our ties with existing customers and to get new buyers. In business since 1979, our company is engaged in OEM production and sells beddings products under our Australian-registered brand Cottex. We currently operate 18 retail shops in Hong Kong. This year, one of the highlights is promoting our new product ‘Ice Pillow’ that is designed to provide a cool and relaxing comfort. We are particularly keen to establish business contacts with traders from Europe and the US. The fair is well organised. We are especially impressed with the organiser’s great support that enables a smooth setup for our exhibition.”
Patrick Lau, Business Manager, Chung Kong Kai Lok Beddings Co., Hong Kong
“This is our first participation in the fair. Our exhibition highlight is the new cushion collection we’ve developed for customers around the world. We make use of different colours and materials to provide a diversity of choices. There has been good traffic throughout the exhibition. We have met buyers from different places such as Saudi Arabia, Denmark, Australia, Finland and the Chinese mainland. There are also a number of retailers from Hong Kong. Further negotiations will be conducted with them for business development. We are satisfied with the fair’s organisation from booth setup to exhibition.”
Sunny Chan, Marketing Officer, Small World, Hong Kong
